Colegiul Economic “Ion Ghica” / Romania

In the old part of the city, marked by the effects of the economic crisis, and quite close to the Danube Faleza, there is the "Ion Ghica" Economic College, with 146 years of age. Currently, the school institution has three building bodies where 914 students, aged between 15 and 19, are assigned the activity in 35 classes as follows: -Technical highschool - 20 classes with qualifications: "Technician in economic activities", "Tehn. in administration ","Tehn. in trade activities","Tehn. in tourism","Tehn. in gastronomy "; seral - 3 class "Tehn. in gastronomy/trade " - 3 years professional education - 10 classes: with the qualifications: "Bucatar", "Waiter in food", "Confectioner-patiser"  • Post-secondary school - 2 classes, "Assistant Management" qualification. Students come from different social backgrounds, over 70% come from the rural area of Braila County, from economically disadvantaged areas, 68% are from very low income families, 14% -121 pupils have their parents abroad and are in the care of their grandparents to other relatives, 5% -47 are socially assisted, 06.% -6 are with CES, 4 of whom attend school. The pupils of this educational unit are of different ethnicities: Turks (0.8% -8), Lipoveni (1.2% -11), Gypsies or Gypsies (2.1% -20), and Moldovans (1.16% ) receiving scholarships in our country, Syrian refugees (0.42% -4). We have Catholic (11%), Baptist (1.4%), and Muslim (1.22%) Christians - Orthodox students (85%), Old Rites (1.2%). In the school are implemented and developed personal development programs, in collaboration with the psychologist teacher and integration in the collectivity of the class and the school of all scholarized students. The teaching staff of the school consists of 70 people, auxiliary teaching staff 10, and non-teaching staff - 17 people. Humanistic-social and scientific basic training is provided by a number of 35 teachers of different specialties. The training of economic specialty is provided by 21 professors and 4 professors of practical training. The distribution by grade is the following: PhD students -2, grade I-48, grade II -12, finalized -7, debutant -2.
